Recently, Menzies Macau’s Head of Planning, Ms. Shirley Ung, led a team to visit the 9th National Security Education Exhibition jointly organized by the Macau Special Administrative Region (SAR) government and the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macau SAR.
The exhibition, themed “Comprehensive National Security Concept: A Decade of Innovative Leadership,” aims to promote the importance of national security to all Macau residents, fostering unity in safeguarding the nation’s security and interests. The exhibition is divided into five thematic sections, highlighting significant advancements in the national security system and modernization since the introduction of the comprehensive national security concept.
Simultaneously, the exhibition underscores the Macau SAR government’s continuous efforts, with strong support from the central government, to enhance legal frameworks and enforcement mechanisms for maintaining national security. It emphasizes the implementation of the fundamental principle of “patriots governing Macau” and active integration into the overall national development, showcasing successful practices of the “one country, two systems” model in Macau.
During the exhibition visit, Menzies Macau representatives gained significant insights, recognizing that security is the foundation for sustainable development. Only by ensuring the safety of the nation and its people can long-term stability and prosperity be achieved.
Ms. Shirley Ung stated, “As Macau residents, we have a responsibility and duty to safeguard national security. We must remain vigilant, firmly resist any actions that endanger national security, and actively participate in security-related work.”
Through their participation in this National Security Education Exhibition, the Menzies Macau team deeply appreciates the importance of national security and reinforces their commitment to safeguarding it. They will bring the knowledge and insights gained from the exhibition back to the company, integrating security awareness into their work and daily lives.
